Kids Close in Age is the best thing ever!

Welcome to life with kids close in age.

My littles are 12.5 months apart. It almost doesn’t get any closer than that. To be totally honest, once I had my first born baby girl I became so in love with her and being a mama that I wanted another baby sooooooooo bad! Thankfully, hubby was on board and fast forward 40 weeks, we had our little man; our perfect addition to our family. I’m not gonna tell you it’s easy, cause it’s in no way at all easy, but what I am gonna tell you is that I totally recommend it and absolutely LOVE it and here are my 4 top reasons WHY:

1. First Birthday Blues

It can be hard for mamas to cope with the whole infant to toddler stage, this meaning: your baby’s first birthday. If you have little ones close in age you won’t really have to worry about that because you’ll luckily be pregnant as your celebrating the first child's birthday milestone & then you’ll be able to soak up on the newborn feels directly after that . For me, that made the whole first birthday milestone easy peasy.

2. Sibling Bonding

The bond between my two littles is something I don’t always see with siblings & totally melts my heart. My little ones are (for now) the bestest of friends and it’s the cutest thing ever. Holding hands happens on the daily, and I am not kidding when I say this: they rarely fight! #MOMWIN

3. Similar stages

With only a 12.5 month age month gap between them, they will always be at very similar developmental stages. Plus, they will grow up closely together in school, as they'll always only be 1 school year apart.

4. Getting in shape: 2 for 1 deal!

Since I was pregnant 4 months after giving birth to my firstborn, when I actually became pregnant the second time I didn’t have time to think about the extra baby weight from pregnancy # 1 because I was already pregnant and gaining again. Once I had my second baby, I focused on getting back in shape, as opposed to doing it twice. It's kinda like a 2 for 1 deal.

I truly can go on forever, but I’ve covered my top 4 favourite reasons. If you’re thinking about it, go for it. It’s hard, yes, but it’s absolutely, positively 💯 worth it.

If you have any Q’s, let me know.... I'm here for ya! XOXO
